It includes a photo of Ruby Rodriguez and registration details.

Magical Mondays is a weekly after-school initiative dedicated to strengthening the bond between students, families, and educators. Held on school days, the program features themed sessions ranging from career exploration to cultural arts. While parents engage alongside younger children (Pre-K–5), older students (6th grade+) are encouraged to attend independently to foster responsibility. It’s more than just an after-school program—it’s a community hub providing the tools and environment needed for holistic student support.

Flyer for Best Practices Virtual Expo, scheduled for April 7, 2026, from 9:00AM to 10:30AM CST. Presented by Maria Ovalle-Lopez and Lisbeth Olmo from Klein ISD. The session is about measuring family partnerships in a multi-tiered support model. Includes registration details at www.r16.us/April7Expo and mentions free registration. Features photos of two women, background showing Texas map with PFE logo.

Klein ISD’s Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for family engagement focuses on creating a structured framework that fosters collaboration between families and schools to enhance student achievement. By implementing data-driven strategies at various tiers, educators can assess and measure the effectiveness of family engagement practices, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of students and their families. This approach not only strengthens the relationship between home and school, it also provides valuable insights into how family engagement directly impacts student outcomes.

The Family Hour Initiative is a cornerstone of San Antonio ISD’s efforts to enhance family engagement and academic support. Family Hour provides opportunities for families to engage in grade-level aligned interactive sessions utilizing educational best practices, fostering a culture of collaborative learning. These sessions are developed in partnership with various internal SAISD departments, teachers, families, students, and external community organizations, ensuring an interdisciplinary approach to creating capacity-building opportunities for student academic outcomes.
